Fabasoft is a software company based in Linz, Upper Austria. The company was founded in 1988 by Helmut Fallmann and Leopold Bauernfeind.

The name is an abbreviation of Fabasoft Fallmann Bauerfeind software. The Fabasoft AG shares have been listed since October 4, 1999 at the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The predominant proportion of the shares are held by Fallmann & Bauernfeind Private Foundation ( 67.19 %). The 3 Banken-Generali Investment-Gesellschaft mbH holds 3.96% of the shares, the Ludic GmbH 5.06 % and the remainder is in free float.

Products

Fabasoft manufactures software for e- government, electronic records management and enterprise content management. The company serves clients in the areas of federal and state governments, municipalities, from interest groups and private companies.

E -government software allows delivery of applications over the Internet, electronic business cases and the electronic exchange of documents between the administration and citizens and audit-proof archiving. In 2001 the company was awarded by the Republic of Austria, together with the Federal Data Center and IBM awarded a contract to the introduction of the electronic file ELAK waistband, and is now also used by the majority of countries and some communities. In Switzerland, the company is also represented with a product that applies in the federal government as a standard.

In the Enterprise Content Management area MoReq2 certified software for capturing, managing and archiving documents is offered as well as for the automation of business processes.

Fabasoft is certified according to own data in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001 and the test method has completed 3402 Type 2 according to ISAE.
