Fabian Giefer (born 17 May 1990 in Adenau ) is a German football goalkeeper who stands since 2012/13 at Fortuna Dusseldorf under contract.

Career

Clubs

Giefer grew up in Blankenheim district Freilingen and began playing football at the 1 FC Oberahr. From there he moved to TuRa Lommersdorf and then to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. There he went through the youth departments and won in 2008 with his team, the DFB Junior Club Cup. In the 2008 /09 season he came to his first assignments at senior level for the second team in the Regionalliga West. In the season 2009/10 he enlisted as third goalkeeper on the senior squad, but continued to play for the second team.
