Fabian Lustenberger

Club career

In his first season (2005/ 06) for FC Luzern under coach Ciriaco Sforza Lustenberger got increasingly whose confidence, conquered half of the season to a place in the midfield and was an important part of young Lucerne team.

In August 2007, he spent 1.5 million euros to the German Bundesliga Hertha BSC. On 9 December 2007, he scored in the 2-1 defeat at 1 FC Nuremberg his first Bundesliga goal. On April 19, 2013 he extended his contract until 2017. At the 2013/14 season Lustenberger coach Jos Luhukay was appointed team captain.

In the National Team

On 25 June 2011, he was with the U-21 national team of Switzerland European vice-champion.

On November 15, 2013 he made his debut under Ottmar Hitzfeld for the Swiss national football team in a friendly against South Korea.

Private

His brother Simon is also active as a footballer, he currently plays in the Swiss second division side FC Ibach. He is not related to the professional players of FC Lucerne, Claudio Lustenberger.

On May 31, 2013 Lustenberger married on Pfingstberg in Potsdam his girlfriend Monique, candidate of the first season summer girl on ProSieben. He has a son with her, Jonas Jan on February 9, 2014, her second son, Samu Johann was born.
