Fabien Pelous

Fabien Pelous ( born December 7, 1973 in Toulouse, Haute -Garonne ) is a French former rugby union player. He played in the second row for Stade Toulousain and until 2007 was part of the French national team. He is the player with most international matches of his country.

Career

Pelous announced on 17 October 1995 in the match against Romania his international debut. In 2004 he became captain of the French and succeeds Fabien Galthié. The first tournament under his leadership team was the Six Nations in 2004, in which France was able to win the Grand Slam. With Toulouse he succeeded in 2005, the victory in the Heineken Cup, where he turned out with a knee injury until the end of the year. In November he returned to the national team, as these could win 26:16 against Australia.
