Fabio Aru

Fabio Aru ( born July 3, 1990 in San Gavino Monreale ) is an Italian road racing cyclist.

Fabio Aru won the 2011 individual time trial at the Giro della Valle d' Aosta and he could decide the overall title for themselves. He was also first overall in the Giro delle Valli Cuneesi nelle Alpi del Mare and he won the one-day races Bassano - Monte Grappa and the Trofeo Salvatore Morucci. In the Italian championship, he finished second in the road race in the U23 class behind Matteo Trentin. 2012 won Aru again a stage and the overall classification at the Giro della Valle d' Aosta. At the Giro d' Italia he Ciclistico 2012 was second in the overall standings and at Toscana- Terra di Ciclismo he was first. End of the season he rode for the Astana Pro Team as a trainee and he has been since 2013 there professional.
