Fabio Frizzi

Fabio Frizzi ( born July 2, 1951 in Bologna ) is an Italian composer of film music.

Life

Earlier in his career Frizzi often worked with Vincenzo Tempera and Franco Bixio, also briefly with the group Goblin. He was known primarily for his work in the field of Italian horror film of the late 70s and early 80s. In this area it counts - in addition to Riz Ortolani and Bruno Nicolai - the best-known composers. Above average he often collaborated with cult director Lucio Fulci, whose often slightly surreal mood pictures and stories he painted with appropriately atmospheric soundtracks. His work on The Beyond, and A zombie hanging on the bell rope (both from Lucio Fulci ) enjoy cult status today. But even outside of this genre Frizzi was active: He wrote, among other things, the music for the film Aladin Spencer.

Quentin Tarantino used a piece from the soundtrack of Sette note in nero in the film Kill Bill.

With the decline of the Italian genre cinema from the mid-80s it was quiet also Frizzi.
