Fabricio Oberto

Fabricio Raul Jesus Oberto ( born March 21, 1975 in Las Varillas, Córdoba ) is an Argentine professional basketball player. He plays mainly on the position of the center, but can also be used as a power forward.

Since 2005 he plays in the U.S. professional league NBA along with his compatriot Emanuel Ginóbili with the San Antonio Spurs, with whom he won the championship in the 2006/07 season. Previously, he worked for several years in Argentina, Greece and Spain actively, including at TAU Ceramica Vitoria -Gasteiz.

His athletic achievements with the Argentine national basketball team were winning the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the silver medal at the FIBA World Championship in Indianapolis in 2002 and the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
