Fabrizio Miccoli (* June 27, 1979 in Nardo (LE ), Italy) is an Italian football player. Since 2007, he played for the Sicilian football club U.S. Palermo, before he joined the U.S. Lecce there after six years. Fabrizio Miccoli is distinguished mainly by its speed and his shot strength, he plays preferred as trailing tip.

Career

In the club

Fabrizio Miccoli collected at Casarano Calcio in Serie C1 his first experience as a professional. In 1998 he moved to Ternana Calcio in Serie B, where he was a regular player and due to its good performance attracted the attention of scouts Italian top clubs up.

Finally, Juventus secured the services of talent in 2002. For now, Miccoli but was loaned out to AC Perugia. There, he convinced both as scorer as well as preparers, so that he was allowed to play in the following season for Juventus. For the season 2007/ 08 Miccoli returned to Italy. He broke his contract with the people of Turin entirely and moved to Palermo. In the first year for the Sicilian club, he scored eight goals in 22 Serie A games. His most successful season was the 2009/10 season, in which he was able to achieve 19 goals. He aroused the interest of foreign club. One of them was Birmingham City, but Miccoli politely declined. A year later, Miccoli had established the whereabouts in Palermo and the Decline of the offer with the following words in a press conference after a game against the U.S. Lecce: "I can not leave Palermo, because I 'm the captain and a role model for my teammates. In the National Team

Fabrizio Miccoli completed ten caps for the U-18 selection of his country, on 12 February 2003 he made his debut in the match against Portugal for the Italian national team, his last international match so far, he completed on 17 November 2004 against Finland, where he the winning goal scored to make it 1-0.
