Facundo Hernán Quiroga

Facundo Hernán Quiroga ( born January 10, 1978 in San Luis ) is an Argentine football player.

Career

The defender joined in 1998 by CA Newell 's Old Boys to Sporting Lisbon, where he played for two years. After a six-month trip to Napoli in early 2001, he returned back to Sporting Lisbon before he then went to the 2004 VfL Wolfsburg. There, the defender had a contract until 2008, which was not extended; Quiroga joined then to CA River Plate from Buenos Aires. In four years, he has maintained 90 Bundesliga appearances for Wolfsburg.

To date (August 2005) completed 16 caps for the Argentine national team Quiroga.
