Fadhli Sultanate

The Sultanate Fadhli (Arabic فضلي fadli ), a state was within the South Arabian Federation, after it was briefly part of the Federation of Arab Emirates of the South. The area is now part of the Republic of Yemen. The Sultanate existed total number of 1670 until 1967.

It was one of nine cantons ( Sultanate of Lahej, Emirate of Dhala Scheichtum Alawi, Lower Aulaqi, Aqrabi, Haushebi, Subeihi Lower Yafa ), who signed the treaty of protection with the United Kingdom in the late 19th century. Its capital was Shuqrah. 1962 pulled the management according to Zinjibar, but the seat of the Sultanate remained in Shuqrah. His last Sultan was Nasser bin Abdullah bin Hussein bin Ahmed Alfadhli (Arabic: السلطان ناصر بن عبدالله بن حسين بن أحمد الفضلي ). This was overthrown and his Scheichtum went in 1967 in the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen.
