History
Fairmount Marine was founded in 1980. 2007 Fairmount Marine was acquired by the Paris-based Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.
The company is a member of the International Salvage Union.
Fleet
Fairmount Marine operates six tug and a semi-submersible vessel. Five of the tug, which form the Fairmount class, are used for ocean disappearances and as anchor handling and salvage tugs. They have a bollard pull of 205 tonnes. The sixth tractor serves as an offshore provider.
