FairTax

The FairTax Act is a U.S. bill that calls for the abolition of all taxes (including income tax ), duties, and ( social) insurance contributions of the Federation and for the introduction of a single, national sales tax is the only tax the federal government. To ensure a kind of progressive taxation, an amount expected to be paid to each household per month, which corresponds to the goods necessary for subsistence to be paid sales tax ( FairTax ).

In 2005, President Bush appointed an advisory committee to examine the implementation of a " FairTax ". The Panel examined various implementation types but came to the conclusion that the " FairTax " appears because of difficulties in the enforcement and administration as not desirable. Particular, it was calculated that the tax avoidance and evasion in the current tax system could be up to 15 %, with a conversion to the " FairTax " but with tax avoidance and evasion in the amount of 15 - 30 % can be expected.
