Fairy bluebird ( Irinea puella )

The Feenvögel ( Irena ) are a genus of the order of perching birds ( Passeriformes ). They stand alone in the mono- generic family Irenidae.

Feenvögel are medium-sized arboreal, which are characterized by very long upper and under tail-coverts. They have shiny blue and black plumage. The females are usually colored matte and green and its iris is deep red.

The nests of Feenvögel consisting of a flat affiliates situation that is being built in a crotch. The nests are usually from two to three glossy olive and brown speckled eggs.

The genus is attributed to two types:

  • Fairy bluebird or door Kiss Irene ( Irena puella )
  • Cobalt Irene ( Irena cyanogaster )
