Faith Ford

Faith Ford ( born September 14, 1964 in Alexandria, Louisiana, native Alexis Ford ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Ford, daughter of a teacher, has been wanted in high school finalist in a competition in the coming models. She moved to New York City where she worked as a model and has appeared in several commercials. Ford debuted as an actress in 1983 in the television series One Life to Live and Another World. In 1984, she moved to Hollywood. There were a few guest roles in television series; in the series The Popcorn Kid ( 1987), she starred in six episodes. In the comedy You Talkin ' to Me? (1987 ), she played one of the major roles.

In the years 1988 to 1998 Ford starred in the television series Murphy Brown. This role earned her in the years 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1994 nominations for an Emmy; in the years 1991 and 1992 she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and in 1996 - for an American Comedy Award.

The People magazine chose Ford in 1991 to the list of 50 best personalities (The 50 Most Beautiful People ). The appearances in the television series Maggie Winters of 1998 earned her a nomination for TV Guide Award in 1999. In the comedy The Pacifier (2005) she appeared in a larger role on the side of Vin Diesel.

Ford was married in 1989 to 1996 Robert Nottingham. In 1998 she married the director Campion Murphy.
