Faith Hill

Faith Hill ( born September 21, 1967 in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Audrey Faith Perry ) is an American country and pop singer.

Biography

Faith Hill was born Audrey Faith Perry in 1967 as in Ridgeland near Jackson, Mississippi. She grew up in the nearby small town of Star with adoptive parents. As a child she played and had his first appearances at rodeo competitions. After her high school graduation she attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, but broke off his studies at the age of 19 years and moved to Nashville.

First they sold in a small shop for country fans T -shirts, then she got a job as a secretary at a music publishing company. An employee there songwriter heard her sing one day and suggested that she record a demo tape. The producer of the demos, Gary Burr, allowed her to accompany him during his performances as a background singer. In such a performance, she was now married to Daniel Hill, discovered by a Warner Brothers manager and contracted.

Their first album, Take Me as I Am appeared in 1993. It sold more than two million copies. The single from the Wild One reached number one on the country charts and was there for four weeks. The second single from this LP Piece of My Heart was released; the cover of Erma Franklin hits came in 1994 also on the top position on the country charts. In the same year, the couple divorced Hill.

After a few vocal cord problems 1995 Faith Hills second album was released: It Matters to Me, the sales of the first could surpass. In the same year she went on tour with Tim McGraw, whom she married a few months later. In 1997, the first born of three daughters. That same year, McGraw Hill and played a common single It's Your Love, which was number one for six weeks and has received many awards.

1998 her fourth album, Faith, which came in Germany, entitled Love Will Always Win on the market. Again, the sales figures could be increased. Faith Hill was now outside the country scene the audience. The single This Kiss placed high in the pop charts. The next album Breathe reached top positions both in the country and in the pop charts. It was her most successful album up to that point and was awarded a Grammy.

In 2000, she sang for the film How the Grinch Stole the song Where Are You Christmas. In 2001, she contributed to the film Pearl Harbor in the title song There You'll Be. In 2002, the album Cry came on the market, which they largely moved away from the country music.

Hill sang, among others, at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games 1996. 2003 she gave at Fort Bragg in front of 10,000 Gulf War soldiers, a solidarity concert. Faith Hill was chosen by the readers of People Magazine's " 50 Most Beautiful People" and has received numerous awards and prizes. Her first film role was in the remake of the movie The Stepford Wives.

In 2005, the album Fireflies appeared. The single from the Mississippi Girl was like the whole album again country -heavy; the result of single Like We Never Loved at All was again a duet with husband Tim McGraw.
