Faith of the Church

Faith of the Church (Latin fides ecclesiae ) is a central concept of Catholic theology. He states that the primary subject of faith in Christ is not the individual, but the Church as a whole. This applies both to the act of faith ( fides qua creditur ) as for the contents of faith ( fides quae creditur ).

According to Catholic doctrine, the Church has the content of faith from Christ through the apostles intact ( deposit of faith ) and has with time in the Holy Spirit, according to the promise of Christ ( Jn 16.12 to 14 EU ), the " unwrapped " in it and Included kept alive. Can it temporarily or regional cause -sidedness and narrowing of the deposit of faith, but so can the church as a whole does not fall from the truth, but it is increased until the end of time.

So little of the individual believer is to be so far satisfied with an implicit faith, without appropriating personally according to his ways, the faith of the Church, so is it intended on the other hand think of him comprehended the whole truth and close the deeper insight of the Church.
