Fajara

Fajara is a district of the municipality Kanifing (English Kanifing Municipal) in the West African nation of Gambia.

The district lies to the north of the municipality and belongs to the town of Bakau. In the census of 1993 Fajara was not listed as a separate place. Fajara is a big part of Bakau New Town, the deferrals are not used.

Geography

Fajara is located in the west of Bakau on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Part of an area is south of the Bertil Harding Highway counted yet to Fajara. To the west lies Kotu, a part of Manjai Kunda, the Fajara Golf Course is limited both districts.
