Church of Saint Lawrence

The medieval tower foundation of the church probably dates from the 13th century. The church choir dates from the 15th century, with the remainder of the church was built in Gothic style - modern in 1857. The late Gothic church was built on a former palace chapel. The only original part of the chapel is the present presbytery. Beneath is a crypt, in which some knights of the Tattenbacher were buried. In the 1960s, the church was renovated, with many murals and the two side altars were lost.

1995 to 1997 the church was renovated again, the roof and the tower stood in the foreground; were further added new ceiling paintings and altars. On September 16, 2001 Falkenberg received a new church organ.

The reason for the appearance of the arms is as follows: In today's municipal area until about 1808 were the most important basic and Hofmarksherren the counts of Tattenbach. In 1821 the Hofmark Falkenberg along with other Hofmarken for patrimonial Salach, which had the Count Arco to the area gentlemen.
