Fang Fang

Fang Fang ,方 方, (* 1955 in Nanjing) is a Chinese writer.

Biography

At the age of two years moved Fang Fang with her family to Wuhan, where she still lives today. After graduation in 1974, she worked for four years as Verladearbeiterin. Her literary work has its origin in 1975. In 1978, the university opened its doors two years after the end of the Cultural Revolution, she joined the Wuhan University, where she studied Chinese literature until 1982. After completing her studies, she was assigned to the department for TV series of the television station of Hubei Province as an editor. But they not only wrote screenplays for television series, but also published in the same year her first novel on the large trolley (大篷车 上Da Feng Che shàng ). The story published in 1987 view (风景Fēngjǐng ) enters her breakthrough: In 1989 she was awarded the "National Award for outstanding novels " (全国 中篇小说 优秀 作品 奖Quanguo zhōngbiān xiǎoshuō yōuxiù zuòpǐn jiǎng ). This story is one of the first works of that time in China emerging genre of neo-realism (新 写实 主义xīn xiěshí zhǔyì ).

1988 married Fang Fang and one year later a daughter. After eleven years of marriage, she divorced again in 1999. At the beginning of the new millennium it was also for some time personalities of today (今日 名流 杂志Jin rì Mingliu zázhì ) working as chief editor of the magazine.
