In the U.S. album charts, the Billboard 200, Fantastic Damage debuted at rank 198. It lasted only a week in the album charts.

Criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated Fantastic Damage with four out of a possible five points. In the review by Stefan Johannes Berg productions " from the ornate old-school drums, the bulky electric sounds, dirty Scratch attacks and eerie sample sequences" are praised, are similar to the beats that EL -P had already produced as part of Company Flow. The tracks on the album combine " beauty and madness ". So the songs Deep Space Nine Mm, Truancy, Lazerfaces Warning or Stepfather Victory convey " no superficial feelings via sticky Baroque Strings ," but " the true, hard life with its rare beautiful moments ."
