Far Eastern University

The Far Eastern University ( FEU ) (Filipino: Pamantasan ng Silangan Malayong ) is a private university in the Philippines and is considered an important educational institution in the Philippines and in the administrative regions of Metro Manila, CALABARZON.

Locations

She has four other locations in the following communities:

  • The main campus of the University is located in the Nicanor Reyes Street in Barangay Sampaloc, Manila
  • The FEU Makati campus is located at the Gil Puyat Avenue, at the intersection of Zuellig Loop in Makati City
  • The FEU Diliman campus is located at the Sampaguita Avenue, Mapayapa Village, Barangay Diliman in Quezon City
  • The Far Eastern College Silang is located on the Metro Gate Estates in Silang, Cavite Province

Faculties

The Far Eastern University houses several faculties, these are divided into high school and technical college areas, as well as vocational training institutes and colleges. These are the Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts ( IARFA ), Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance ( IABF ), Institute of Arts and Sciences (IAS ), Institute of Education (IE), Institute of Nursing ( IN), Institute of Law (IL ), Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS ), Institute of Tourism & Hotel management and the Far Eastern College.

History

The University was founded in 1928 when Dr. Nicanor Reyes with the help of the Department of Economics, University of the Philippines, the Far Eastern University founded. A year later, the Institute of Accounts, Business and Finance ( IABF ) was founded. In 1933, a further expansion of the training programs, this was Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration and Banking and Finance in a row with the merger with the Far Eastern College. In the 1930s, the university building was completed. During the Second World War, this Japanese of the Imperial army was konsfiziert and served as their headquarters; the University established in this time their work. In 1945, she was re-opened and numerous politicians and managers in the economy went through the training programs of the university. Today it is regarded as the leading university in the training of managers in the Philippines.

Sports

The university has a total of 24 sports teams in the Diszipilen basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, table tennis, chess, football, taekwondo, fencing, badminton and the three-way battle. These teams are all called the FEU Tamaraws UAAP teams, their coat of arms and mascot is the Philippine national symbol, the Tamarau.
