Faraday (crater)

69.03

Faraday is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, southeast of Mare Nubium, west of the crater Maurolycus and southeast of Stöfler, the interior of which he partially covers. The crater is eroded and the crater rim is overlaid by the secondary craters Faraday Faraday A and C.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British physicist and chemist Michael Faraday.
