Farafangana

Province

Farafangana is the capital and administrative center of the Malagasy Region Atsimo - Atsinanana. According to estimates, the city had 24,764 inhabitants in 2004.

Geography

The town lies at the mouth of the river Manampatrana. It has a north-south road link to Vangaindrano and Manakara on the National Road 12, and in the domestic with the National Road 27 The town has an airport.
