Faranah

Faranah is a city in Guinea. It is the capital of the eponymous region and prefecture. The birthplace of Ahmed Sékou Touré has an airfield with tarmac start and runway, in 2008, the population was estimated at 90,000. Here a conference center was built for the founding conference of the Niger Basin Authority (" Commission for the use of the Niger " ) in 1964, as a larger mosque and a villa complex for state guests.
