Farley file

A Farley archive is a collection of records of politicians on those who met her once already.

The term goes back to James Aloysius Farley, the campaign manager of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Farley put an archive of data on all persons to whom Roosevelt had met. If a second meeting came about, the Act has been previously studied. Roosevelt was so received about the fiancee, on children and their age - in other words to everything perhaps was part of earlier discussions or what Farley else had found out about the persons so insignificant it might be. This knowledge gave Roosevelt the aura of a confidant.

Nowadays Farley archives are widespread among politicians and businessmen.
