Farooq Leghari

Faruk Ahmad Khan Leghari ( Urdu فاروق احمد خان لغاری; * May 29, 1940, † 20 October 2010) was a Pakistani politician.

Faruk Leghari was 1993-1997 President of Pakistan and member of Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Towards the end of his tenure there came to an estrangement between him and the PPP. He then founded the National Alliance Party, the 2002, eleven mandates won and President Pervez Musharraf supported. At the 2008 general election, he entered on the list of Musharraf's PML -Q party.
