Farrukhi Sistani

Abu l -Hasan Ali ibn Dschulugh Farruchi Sistani (Persian ابو الحسن على بن جولوغ فرخى سيستانى, DMG Abū ʿ Alī b l - Ḥasan Ǧūlūġ Farruḫī Sistani, . † around 1037/8 ) was a Persian lyric poet. He wrote primarily Ghasele and panegyrics ( eulogies ).

Farruchi, whose father was a Mamluk the Saffarids Ahmad, found public recognition when he left his home province of Sistan in order to embark on the search for a patron, he finally, about 1016, in Fakhr al-Dawla Abu l - Muzaffar Ahmad ibn Muhammad, the Emir of Tschaghaniyan, found. A little later (before 1017 ), he set out for the court of the Ghaznavids, where he was ( as Unsuri ) official Lobdichter the sultans Mahmud and Masud.

Farruchi Sistani is primarily known for the simplicity of its language and the sagacity of his thoughts. Basic themes of his Ghasele are love and joy of life, which he treated in a subtle form. Both poets and scientists of all time appreciated the elegance and freshness of his style. He left a divan with 9000 verses; among his poems:

  • The peace
  • That night
  • Autumn
