Farschweiler

Farschweiler ( Moselle Franconian: Foaschweila [ fɔɐʃvaɪ̯lɐ ] ) is a municipality in the Trier -Saar castle in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Ruwer.

Geographical location

Between the towns of Trier and Hermes wedge Farschweiler lying in meadow due to a flat expiring tributary of the creek Feller on the northwestern edge of the Osburger forest, part of the central mountain region of Hunsrück and on the edge of the Saar -Hunsrück.

History

The place as Hamlet was probably in the Merovingian expansion period ( 600-750 ). Between 1190 and 1200 he first appears as Varneswilre in Trier's law. The present Romanesque church dates from 1788. It was extended in 1844 with a two-axis cultivation and new choir and tower.

The local council in Farschweiler consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman location. The twelve seats in the municipal council are divided into two groups of voters. In the previous election in 2004, the council members were elected by majority vote.

After several stoppages mandate of members of the municipal council, the number of occupied seats in the municipal council Farschweiler dropped to six ( § 29 para 4 GemO ). Therefore, this figure is GemO as statutory number of members of the municipal council within the meaning of § 29 paragraph 2. (Updated: August 24, 2012)

The largest employer in the village is the carpentry Annen, founded in 1956.

Farschweiler is located on the county road 84 that leads towards Herl from national road 149 and towards Osburg - star field to the highway 52
