Farsund

Farsund is a commune in the province of Vest- Agder in Norway. The area of ​​the coastal municipality is bordered to the northwest by Kvinesdal and to the southeast by Lyngdal, the south and west it is bounded by the North Sea.

Farsund was created in 1965 by merger of the former municipalities Lista, Herad and locker.

Farsund most important sources of income are now the industrial enterprises of Elkem Aluminium and Alcoa, as well as tourism and agriculture. The local newspaper called Farsund Avis.
