Faruk ÄŒaklovica

Faruk Čaklovica (* 1953 in Zvornik, Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a professor of veterinary medicine and was rector of the University of Sarajevo from 2006 to 2012. He is among other things Board member of the network of Balkan universities.

Life

Faruk Čaklovica received his education in veterinary medicine from the University of Sarajevo with a bachelor's degree in 1977, his master's and doctorate degrees, he acquired from the same faculty in veterinary medicine in 1983 and 1987.

His training added Dr. Čaklovica by studies in the USA (1987 ), Denmark (1989 ), Malaysia (1996 ), Egypt (1999) and Germany (1999).

From 2001 to 2006 he was Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In 2006 he was elected Rector of the University of Sarajevo. He has authored 143 scientific publications in the fields of human nutrition, applied microbiology in food production, bacterial diseases and food as well as technology and hygiene in food production.

Dr. Faruk Čaklovica is married and has one child.
