Fātimah bint Mūsā

Fatima bint Musa, Fatima al - Ma'sūmeh (* 790 in Medina; † 817 in Qom ), was the sister of the eighth Imam, ʿ Alī ibn Musa ar - Rida, and daughter of the seventh Imam. She went to visit her brother eastern Iran. On the journey she fell ill near the town of Saveh and died in Qom. Her biography is often equated with the Prophet's daughter, Fatima. As it became the most important saints of Iran, is difficult to understand.

In the Shiite tradition of "holy Fatima " ( Hazrat Ma'sūmah ) will be awarded various attributes such as the sinless One, the Pristine and wonders that they should have done. Their tomb was converted from the year 869/70 over the centuries into a splendid shrine. The golden dome of her huge mausoleum is today the symbol of Qom.
