Fatyanovo–Balanovo culture

The Fatjanowo culture is an archaeological culture of the Final Neolithic between the upper Dvina in the west to the upper Volga in the east. The name derives from a burial ground near the village Fatjanowo in Yaroslavl Oblast (Russia). The dates are still fragmented: After Brockhaus Archaeology ( 2009), the oldest finds ( weapons and tools of stone and copper, Corded Ware ) dated to the period around 2500 BC According to Anthony (2007) dates the Fatjanowo culture of 3200 - 2300 BC

On the Fatjanowokultur was followed by the Bronze Age Abaschewo culture which based on several radiocarbon dates around 2500 BC began to Anthony.

The three regional groups, which are not at the same time to divide, go back to ranchers tribes whose ceramics, weapons, and burial rituals ( flat graves and cremation burials ) have strong similarities with the Corded Ware culture.
