Faustino Oramas

Faustino Oramas, known by his stage name El Guayabero ( born June 4, 1911 in Holguín, † March 27, 2007 ) was a Cuban musician.

Faustino Oramas came from a poor dark-skinned family. He may have been older than it said his official date of birth. Some contemporaries speak to him an age of more than a hundred years. As a wandering minstrel ( Juglar ), he traveled from his youth the island of Cuba. His songs, which he accompanied with the guitar, negotiated by everyday life.
