Faxe Municipality

Faxe Kommune is a municipality in Region Sjælland in Denmark for the Danish administrative reform on 1 January 2007. It is 404.90 km ² and was created by the merger of the municipalities Faxe, Haslev and Rønnede. The office is located in the town hall of Haslev.

Faxe municipality has a total population of 35 123 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in the municipal area, the following villages are more than 200 inhabitants ( byer as defined by the Danish Bureau of Statistics ), with a registered population of zero, the place had in the past more than 200 population:

Geography

At the beginning of 2007, it was published, the Kobanke with 122.9 m above sea level near Rønnede is the highest natural point of Sjælland. The highest natural point in front Gyldenløves Høj is 121.3 m above sea level only slightly lower.
