Faye Gulini

Faye Gulini ( born March 24, 1992 Salt Lake City ) is an American snowboarder who successfully launches especially in snowboard cross and the halfpipe.

Gulini started snowboarding at the age of nine years after their siblings they had drawn attention to the sport. Soon she played first competitions; the age of 14 she was in a FIS race in the halfpipe at the start, during which she attended the 41st rank first. There were other forces in FIS races and in the Nor- Am Cup, which took Gulini to regularly reach the top ten. At the same time she also participated in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour ( TTR), a rival series to the FIS competitions, in which she also achieved top ten results. In March 2008, the 17 -year-old U.S. citizen was first nominated for the Snowboard World Cup and placed in the Snowboard Cross on the 30th place. Seven months later, she classified significantly better than ninth in the halfpipe contest of Saas -Fee. The same result it reached in March 2009 at the Junior World Championships in Nagano, but there in the snowboard cross.

The establishment in the top international Gulini succeeded in winter 2009 /10: Within three weeks, she went twice to eighth place, which they filled the internal qualification standard for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in the World Cup Snowboard Cross. At the Olympics, it was used as the youngest of three teammates in snowboard cross and reached the twelfth place among 24 participants. At the beginning of the season 2010/ 11, the US-American won her first international medal when she placed second at the Junior World Championships in Cardrona and had only beaten the Czech Eva Samková in the final.
