FC Amkar Perm

The FK Amkar Perm (Russian Футбольный клуб " Амкар " Пермь; Futbol'nyj club Amkar Perm ' ) is a Russian football club was established in 1993 in Perm, the capital of the region. Since 2003, the club plays in the Premjer League, the highest Russian league.

History

The FK Amkar Perm was founded by the workers of Perm fertilizer plant in 1993, when the team first participated in the Perm City Cup. The name Amkar derived from the two main products of the plant - Ammonia (Russian Аммиак / Ammijak ) and urea ( карбамид / urea ) - ex. 1993 Amkar Perm Oblast and the master rose in 1995 in the semi-professional second division ( third- highest division ), Relay Central on. In the 1996 season the team third in 1997 was runner-up. In 1998, Perm grew as a champion of the season on the second class first division where the team was able to establish itself immediately in the upper third near the ascension seats. First time in 2001 the semi-finals of the Russian Cup was achieved in 2003 - just ten years after the establishment as company sports group - managed the club as a master of the 1st Division of the promotion to the top Russian league, the Premjer League. There Amkar could always put to the midfield. 2004 reached the FK Amkar Perm for a second time the Cup semi-finals. The greatest success was reaching the Cup final of 2008. Highest league placement was achieved with the fourth place in the 2008 season.

Amkar had only been four coaches: Sergei Oborin to 2006, who led the team from the fourth division to the middle of the Upper House, 2006/07 Rashid Rakhimov and since the start of 2008 the Montenegrin Miodrag Božović. At the beginning of 2009, this was replaced by the Bulgarian Dimitar Dimitrov specialists Hero. In the 2010 season Rashid Rakhimov was engaged as head coach again.

On 21 December 2010 Amkar Perm announced that the club would withdraw from the Premjer league voluntarily because of financial problems. The club was in debt to 167 million rubles. On 25 January 2011 but was announced that the financial difficulties were overcome and the participation in the Premjer league is secured.

Stadium

The FK Amkar Perm plays its home matches at the 19,500 -seat Zvezda Stadium, which was built in 1969. Since 1995, the playing surface is equipped with an artificial turf. The FK Amkar Perm shares his home ground with the Russian Supreme Division Club Zvezda 2005 Perm.

European Cup

By the fourth place from the 2008 season, the team qualified for the play-off round of the UEFA Europa League 2009/10. The first appearance of the Perm teams on the European stage ended unsuccessfully. Against the eventual finalists Fulham FC from England the away game was lost with 1:3, the subsequent 1-0 home victory could not prevent early exit.
