FC Bern 1894

The FC Bern is a Swiss football club from the city of Bern. It was founded on July 10, 1894. The first team currently plays in the second league interregional. To the club for a long time was a successful women's section, the (formerly FFC Bern ) plays but today under the name BSC YB women.

The best times had the club early to mid 20th century. 1923 FC Bern Swiss champion. The title was the club but denied due to the late notification of a player. Bern took part in the Mitropa Cup in 1936. From 1943-1965 the FC Bern played in the National League, including six years in the National League A, the top division. In the National League B, he played for the last time in 1983, in the following years he went down again and reached in 1998 with the decline in the 3rd League rock bottom. Today two leagues of FC Bern plays again higher in the second league interregional.
