FC Dynamo Stavropol

The FK Dynamo Stavropol (Russian Футбольный клуб Динамо Ставрополь, scientific transliteration FK Dinamo Stavropol ) is a Russian football club from the city of Stavropol. The club plays in the 2nd Division, the third highest league in the country.

History

The club was founded in 1924. In the years 1980 to 1981 and from 1985 to 1991spielte the team in the second-highest Soviet League, otherwise the club was always mediocre. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the team was recorded in 1992 in the highest Russian league. From 1995 to 1999, the club took part in the second class 1 division. After ranking 21st out of the 1999 season the team was relegated from the second division. In the 2005 season the team lost the professional status and played a year in the Amateur Championship. 2006 the team returned back to the 2nd Division.
