FC Encamp

The Futbol Club Encamp, known for the sponsor as Gran Valira Encamp, is an Andorran football club based in Encamp.

History

The club, founded in 1950 is one of the oldest clubs in the country. Since its launch in 1995, the club participates under the direction of the company founded in 1994 Andorran Football Federation on the official game mode. In the first year achieved the biggest success of the club, as a two-point lead on the tracker CE principate the first Andorran Cup was celebrated. In the following years, top rankings were achieved. 2000, they stood in the cup final, but had at 0:6 against Constelació Esportiva no chance.

After they had finished only in 2001 as seventh in the season, the league title in 2002 succeeded as one after the regular season yet placed in the first place UE Sant Julia on the final day of the Championship Playoffs with a 2-1 defeat, and hence a point overtook lead. The following year they finished the series as runner-up, as at the end of FC Santa Coloma was able to record one more point.

If the FC Encamp 2004 still in fourth, the club finished the 2004/05 season after the regular round in sixth place and had to play in the relegation games. There they remained no points in six games and had to descend into the Segona Divisió due to the poorer direct comparison as Table behind the same point Atlètic Club d' Escaldes.

There they remained in 12 games without defeat and pointed with 32 points 9 points more than the second-placed FC Casa Benfica. This advantage could rise in the six games in which they remained unbeaten again, expand and UE Engordany had as a runner-up at the end of round 12 points behind. Thus, the crew of the rise and the return to the Primera Divisió succeeded.
