FC Enikon Augsburg

FC Augsburg Enikon was a football club based in Augsburg, which consisted mainly of Croatian members. With the rise in the Bavarian League 1994 he was one of the höchstklassig gambling immigrant associations in Germany. After re- direct descent to the club disbanded in 1995.

History

The FC Enikon Augsburg was founded in 1978 by Croatian migrants in Augsburg and quickly developed into a center of attraction for footballing savvy Croatians from all over the region. Within a few years the club reach several climbs in succession, accompanied by several tournament successes. So reached the FC Enikon 1994 the title of the " Swabian Hall football champion " and failed in the final of the Bavarian indoor championship only in the final after penalty shoot-out at the TSV Vestenbergsgreuth.

This successful athletic development culminated in 1993/94 on the rise in the Bavarian League, where the club after initial successes, however, could not keep up and immediately had to go back. In the wake of the Croatian main sponsor ended his engagement, after which the club was disbanded in the summer of 1995.

Importance

Thanks to several climbs in the shortest time was the Enikon FC after FC Augsburg and TSV Schwaben Augsburg as the third strongest team in the Fugger city and it has been variously viewed as an example of a successful project of integration of migrants on sporting merit.

The team enjoyed the reputation of being versed technically incredible, as evidenced among other things, to many successes in the fast-paced and technically demanding indoor football.

Trivia

The last point game in club history FC Enikon took place on May 27, 1995, curiously, against a second now defunct club migrants instead, whose name today but enjoys even more notoriety: The game against SV Türk Gücü Munich ended 1-1 draw.
