FC Hämeenlinna

FC Hämeenlinna is a Finnish football club from Hämeenlinna.

History

The club was founded in 1929 as Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho ( Club Hämeenlinna ). In 1992 it merged with HPK Hämeenlinna PaKä to Kesko team Hämeenlinna. 1997 renaming followed in FC Hämeenlinna.

Achievements

From 2002 to 2004 the club played three seasons in the First Division ( highest division ). 2004 FC Hämeenlinna reached the cup final of the Suomen Cup. In the Finnair Stadium Hämeenlinna lost with 1-2 against Myllykosken Pallo -47.

Stadium

The stadium is the Kaurialan Kenttä in Hämeenlinna. It offers 6500 seats and 1536 standing room for a total of 8036 seats. A small part is covered.

Women's Soccer

The women of the FC Hämeenlinna play in the second highest league after they were relegated from the SM- Sarja.
