FC Iskra-Stal

The FC Iskra- Stali Rîbniţa (Russian ФК Искра - Стал ) is a Moldovan football club from Rîbniţa, who plays in the second league Moldovan Divizia B North.

History

The club was founded in 1995 as CIMENTUL Rîbniţa and launched in the second Moldovan League ( Divizia A). In 2002 he took on the still valid name club FC Iskra- Stali Rîbniţa. Since the 2006/07 season, the club plays continuously in the first division. On 27 August 2006 (9th Round ) Rîbniţa celebrated his first victory in Divizia Naţională by defeating FC Olimpia Balti home the 1-0. The first season was ended on the ninth and penultimate place in the table, descend not had the team due to the then pending league expansion, however. In the following season 2007/08 Rîbniţa established already in the midfield and was secured at the end of the season in sixth place.

Another year later, the club improved again and reached the third place in the table. In order to qualify for the UEFA Europa League 2009 /10 and for the first time in the club's history for an international competition. There Rîbniţa failed in the second qualifying round with 0:1 and 0:3 in the Bulgarian representatives Cherno More Varna. Also in the 2009/10 season Rîbniţa played on strong and secured the 2nd place behind Sheriff Tiraspol, which were already for the 10th time in a row champion. Again, this also meant qualification for the UEFA Europa League. Again, however, the club failed in the second qualifying round, this time at the Swedish club IF Elfsborg. After the 2012/13 season, the club ran into financial difficulties and was left without stadium, after the city had withdrawn the space rights for the Orăşenesc. In the episode renounced Iskra- Stali that had actually managed 9th place the athletic league, a further participation in the Divizia Naţională. The association began thus in the 2013/14 season in the third-class Divizia B North.

Stadium

The club contributed since its inception until Summer 2013 their home games at 4,000 comprehensive stadium Orăşenesc in Rîbniţa from. The city locked in the summer of 2013, the stadium and the club ban the further discharge of point games. The association thus waived the start in Divizia Naţională and plays the 2013/14 season in Divizia B North in Vadul lui Voda -based Stadium Stadionul CPSM, with 1,000 seats.
