FC Krasnodar

The FK Krasnodar (Russian Футбольный клуб Краснодар, scientific transliteration: Futbol'nyj club Krasnodar ) is a Russian football club from the city of Krasnodar on the Kuban.

History

The FK Krasnodar was founded in 2008 by Sergei Galitsky, the owner of the retail chain Magnit. In the first season came with the third in the second division of the direct promotion to the second highest league of Russia, as several clubs were unable to attend because of the financial crisis. Here the club in 2009 was able to demonstrate the tenth place in the final table. Since the Saturn Ramenskoje zurückzug voluntarily from the Premjer League, the FK Krasnodar was incorporated as the fifth-placed 1st Division Football 2010 in the Premjer League.

Stadium

The club plays its home matches at the 32,000 -seat Kuban Stadium, which was built back in 1960. The FK Krasnodar shares his home ground with city rivals FK Kuban Krasnodar.
