FC Kuusysi

The FC Kuusysi is a Finnish football club based in Lahti. The first team merged in 1996 with Lahti Reipas for FC Lahti. The FC takes Kuusysi since 2011 in the match operation in part, from 2013 under the name FC Lahti Akatemia.

Club name

History

The Lahti Pallo - Pojat failed early 1960s several times just outside the promotion to the top league in Finland. Due to financial difficulties the club, the club was taken over in the autumn of 1963 by the company UPO. The club then took the name Upon Pallo. 1964, in the first season after the renaming, Upon Pallo won with only one defeat the Oststaffel the divisioona II, whereby the club rose to the prime Mestaruussarja.
