FC La Chaux-de-Fonds

The FC La Chaux -de-Fonds is a Swiss football club from La Chaux -de-Fonds in the canton of Neuchatel. He plays in the second league interregional, the fifth- highest league in the country. The Stade de la Charrière can accommodate 13,000 spectators, including 2,600 seats. The club colors are blue and yellow.

The most successful era of the club was from the late 1940s to mid-1960s. During this period the club three times Swiss champion and cup winner was six times.

History

The FC La Chaux -de-Fonds was founded on July 4, 1894 and resigned in 1900 as the 13th club in the Swiss Football Association. The club was initially a sub-department of the local YMCA - section, but parted ways in 1904. According to the opening of the Stade de la Charriere in 1940 which began "golden age". Between 1948 and 1964 the club won six times the Swiss Cup and was three times Swiss champion. In the years 1954 and 1955 was even the Double.
