FC Naters

History

The club was founded in 1958. On 16 June 1958, the club took on the game mode in the 4th league. In the 1960/61 season it was already "Welsh Wizard ' and participated in the decider. This decision game on June 25, 1961 against FC Evionnaz they won 6:1 and thus rose to the third league. After the 1969/70 season the club celebrated promotion to the then still - undivided - 2 league. 1970/71 was to "Welsh Wizard ' the 2nd league and thus took the decision to turn to the rise in part to the 1st league. However, the last and decisive game against Central Fribourg lost the club, thus remaining in the second league. In 1972, the club founded a supporter association whose goals are to support the club financially and morally. After the 1978/79 season FC Naters I must descend into the 3rd league. The forced expulsion leads the second team of FC Naters in the 4th league. 1979/80, the club but again "Welsh Wizard ' and thus rises again in the second league. After only one year of the clubs had to leave but again. It was not until 1990/91 they managed again to move up to the second league. After only one year, it managed the team in the 1991/92 season again to be Valais champion and also won the promotion match against FC Fribourg 6-0. This was the first time in club history, the rise in the third- highest division in the first league. That same year saw the establishment of the " 100 - Club" and the first official fan club. At Pentecost 1992, the club led first by an international youth football tournament, the " Cup of the Alps". In the first season in the first league of the club reached the fourth place in the table (of 14 teams). On March 7, 1993 graduated from Jean -Paul Briggerstrasse his first game in the dress of the FC Naters. The game against Grand -Lancy ended 1-1. After 2 years, it increased after the 1995/96 season by an 8th place in the NLB Group West in the first league from where to play today.

Sports field

On 20 October 1997, the sports complex was inaugurated footsteps. The stadium has a capacity footsteps of 3000 seats. The grandstand has a capacity of 2500 seats. In addition, the sports complex has another gallery, which has a capacity of 500 seats. To get the whole game field are still around for some 100 people standing.
