FC Schaffhausen

The FC Schaffhausen was founded in 1896 as " Football Club Victoria " and one of the oldest Swiss football clubs: There are only eight still existing clubs that were founded earlier.

The Schaffhausen previously belonged 54 Saisons the second division and played from 1955 to 1957, 1961/62 and 1963/64, in the National League A. After the renewed rise in 2004 was relegated FC Schaffhausen in the summer of 2007, and now plays in the Challenge League, the second highest division in Switzerland.

On 21 March 2007, the FC Schaffhausen split from his longtime trainer Jürgen Seeberger. He was already in the 7th season at FC Schaffhausen served as head coach led the team from the first division to the Axpo Super League. Then took over as coach Marco Schällibaum and fought with the team against relegation in the Challenge League. However, this could not be prevented because they lost 0-2 in the last match against FC Thun. In the season 2010/ 11, another low point came in the club's history of FC Schaffhausen, the FCS lost in the penultimate round in the match against Stade Nyonnais with 2:3 and therefore had to stay in the first league.

After a dominating season, managed the FCS promotion to the 1st League promotion.

On April 29, 2013 it was announced that the FC Schaffhausen all required six criteria ( legal, infrastructure, sports, Administration, Finance and Security) met in order to secure the gaming license for the Challenge League. In the last game of the season 12/13 the FCS managed to rise again in the Challenge League.

Stadium

The stadium has width 6010 uncovered standing room, 1,028 covered seats and 262 uncovered seats. Total sums up the stadium 7,300 people. The field size is about 104 x 69 meters. It has 4 inputs and 11 funds and a fund for pre-orders. There are various food and drink stalls, and a clubhouse with seating for 120 people. Plans call for a new stadium with a coat use in Schaffhausen- Herblingen with a capacity for 8,000 spectators.
