FC Senec

The FC Senec is a former Slovak football club from Senec. The club played from 2006 to 2008 in the Corgoň league, the highest Slovak league. 2002 won his predecessor KOBA Senec, who played in the first league in 1999 /2000 the Slovak Cup and the Slovak Supercup. In June 2008, the FC Senec merged with DAC Dunajská Streda and dissolved de facto on.

History

Association football was played in western Slovakia Senec since 1919. On August 4 of this year, an association was founded with the Hungarian abbreviation SZAC. This club renamed itself in 1922 in Szenci Testgyakorlók Köre, short SZTK to. 1935 merged with SZTK Meteor for SK Senec. From 1941 to 1946, the club Levente said.

After the Second World War there were numerous name changes, DSO Slavoj Senec played from 1954 to 1956 and again in 1957/58 in the third highest Czechoslovak league. In 1959, the club was renamed Energia Senec, 1978 in Poľnohospodár Senec. The team succeeded in 1980, the rise in the Divize - západ, one of seven groups of the 3rd league, which was only four divided by a reorganization of 1981/82. Poľnohospodár played in the 2nd SNL - západ and took third place.

1983, the club was renamed Montostroj Senec. In the coming years the team has always played to the rise in the Slovak group the 2nd league ( 1 SNL) with. 1987/88 it had FK Slovan Duslo Šaľa to defer only because of the poorer direct comparison, a year later, finally it was enough for long targeted promotion.

In the second league Senec finished 1989/90 in sixth place. In 1989 or 1990 there was a re- renaming of the association, to which the name is not entirely clear. Some sources speak of STK Senec, other ACP Senec, yet another of PNZ. It is possible that even a start-up, as many sources indicate 1990 as the founding year .. At least from the 1991/92 season seems to be the name STK Senec secured.

At the last joint season of Czechoslovakia in 1992/93 it was clear that the first six teams from the Slovak group the 2nd league would ascend into the new first Slovak league. On the final day had STK Senec home chemlon Humenné defeat in order to achieve this goal. 3,549 spectators, but Senec lost with 1:3, the rise was missed by two points.

In the season 1993/94 STK Senec ran into major problems. On 20 and 21 Matchday team did not start, in June 1994, she completed before 152 spectators and lost their last game against the B team of Slovan Bratislava 0:7.

The club was not the end of the football in Senec. A new club called KOBA Senec was founded, who took fourth in the league in 1994/95. Immediately, the team reached the summit in the third league. Koba merged with VTJ Bratislava FK VTJ KOBA Senec and managed to 1995/96 the walkover in the second league.

In the 1998/99 season Senec finished end of the season in second place and was thus ascended to the first league. The third-ranked SKP Tatran Devin put but against the rating of the game against Senec FKM Nové Zámky (1-0 ) 1 Gameday contradiction and initially had success. On 17 June 1999, the Slovak Association awarded the match for Nové Zámky, which Devin had risen instead of Senec. The comprehensive 16-team league Senec was tenth, but had to dismount because the number of the team was reduced to ten. In the following years Koba Senec could not intervene in the promotion battle.

The biggest success in club history succeeded Koba Senec in the game in 2001/02. In the final of the Slovak Cup you defeated the first division Matador Púchov 5-3 on penalties. Shortly thereafter Koba also won the Slovakian Supercup. In the UEFA Cup 2002/ 03 the team retired in the second preliminary round against the Bosnian representative NK Široki Brijeg with 1:2 and 0:3.

2004, a stock company was founded with the name FC Senec, which took the place of Koba Senec in the second league. Main shareholders were the German entrepreneur Daniel Jammer and Jozef Valovič, at the same time coach of the new team. The club colors were changed from red and white to orange, also a new club logo was created.

2005/ 06 FC Senec landed in third place, which due to the Expansion of Corgoň league for the rise in this filed.

In the season 2006/07 FC Senec finished sixth, 2007/ 08 the team finished tenth of Corgoň league. Subsequently, the club merged with DAC Dunajská Streda and dissolved de facto.
