FC Shakhtyor Salihorsk

The FK Schachzjor Salihorsk (White Russian ФК Шахцёр Салігорск; Russian ФК Шахтёр Солигорск / FK Shakhtar Soligorsk; шахцёр / шахтёр, Bergmann ') is a Belarusian football club from the city of Salihorsk (Russian Soligorsk ).

History

Schachzjor Salihorsk was founded in 1961. The club was a founding member in 1992 of the first Belarusian league, which he served continuously since then. In the first years we ended up mostly in the lower middle. The 1997 season ended the team on the bottom of the table and escaped relegation only by the fact that a better -placed club withdrew from the league and two others merged.

Between 1999 and 2008 reached Schachzjor ten times in a row, a place among the top five. The first title in 2004 succeeded in Belarusian Cup with a 1-0 victory after extra time in the final against FK Gomel. The following year, the club with 13 points ahead of Dinamo Minsk for the first and only time Belarusian champion.

Then Schachzjor reached three times the cup final, but went all three finals lost in 2006 with 1:3 after extra time against BATE Borisov, 2008, 1:2 against MTZ- RIPA Minsk and 2009 with 1:2 after extra Naftan Nawapolazk.

European Cup

The first appearance Schachzjors on the European football stage was not particularly successful. In qualifying for the UEFA Cup 2001/ 02 the club resigned 1:2 and 1:3 against CSKA Sofia.

In the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2003 was defeated in the first round Omagh Town FC from Northern Ireland 1-0 and 7-1. After that, the team at Cibalia Vinkovci Croatia failed with 1:1 and 2:4. In the first qualifying round for the UEFA Cup 2004/ 05 the club met the Moldovan club FC Nistru Otaci and retired with 1:1 and 1:2 from the competition.

After winning the Belarusian league, the club was allowed in the first qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League to participate in 2006/ 07. Both games went against NK Široki Brijeg each lost 0:1.

The team defeated in the first round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2007, the Armenian side FC Ararat Yerevan 4-1 and 0-2. In the second round, both games against Chernomorets Odessa were lost with 2:4 and 0:2. The first round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2008 has survived against the Polish club Cracovia Krakow 2-1 and 3-0. In the second round the team retired against SK Sturm Graz with 0:2 and 0:0.

2011, 2012 and 2013, the FK Schajzor Salihorsk joined respectively to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League and was eliminated from always. In 2011 they lost against the Latvian FK Ventspils 0-1 and 2:3. 2012 came the Austrian SV Ried 1:1 and 0:0 further because of the away goals rule. In 2013 there were against the Moldovan FC Milsami two 1-1 draw; Salihorsk dropped out after losing 2:4 on penalties.
