FC Vendenheim

The Football Club Vendenheim Alsace is a French football club based in the Alsace Vendenheim. He has created in particular by its women's football department reputation. The club color is red

History

The club was founded in 1927. 1974 was the women's football department, who joined as the players of FC Schwindratzheim, who had just won the championship in Alsace, the FCV. Until the late 1970s, the players remained dominant in the region. Since the introduction of a nationwide league, Division 1 Féminine (1992 ), the women's organization of the FC Vendenheim usually played in the second division. In the seasons 2004/ 05, 2007/ 08 and 2008/09, however, they were represented in the first league where they play for their new promotion also 2011/12 again.

Today women play their home games at the Stade local Waldeck, soft in encounters with the leading teams in the Division 1 but sometimes also in Strasbourg's Stade de la Meinau from. The men of the association are, however, never got beyond the regional amateur league area.
